Meet the management team

Patrick Rosebrook, R.P.F, Chief Executive Officer
As Black Bird's CEO, Pat Rosebrook is responsible for the company's overall health and direction. Pat also leads the forest management and harvest operations.

Pat’s fascination with nature and the environment began at a young age with his involvement with Scouts Canada. When seeking post-secondary education, a Forest Engineering program offered by the University of New Brunswick was a perfect fit. Pat graduated in late 2003 and pursued a career in forestry with Clergue Forest Management Inc., the sustainable license holder for the Algoma Forest. For 10 years Pat led the sivilculture program for Clergue, participated in forest certification and was also involved in forest management plan implementation. Under the guidance of respected foresters at Clergue, Pat became a Registered Professional Forester in the province of Ontario. In 2016, Pat was offered a managerial position with Black Bird to manage Astina's woodlands and to seek out new opportunities on the landbase.

Clyde Bridge, Operations Manager
As Black Bird's Operation Manager, Clyde is responsible for the overall operation of our maple products facility.
Clyde is an experienced and qualified Master Plumber and Gaseous Fuels Technician with a sound knowledge of standards, codes and legislation. He is experienced in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of mechanical systems and possesses an in-depth knowledge of facilities process management and auditing in commercial and industrial environments. All his professional trade designations are in good standing, registered with the Ontario to College of Trades and Technical Standards and Safety Authority.

In 2018, Black Bird hired Clyde to assist in market research and to study different technologies available for the maple products business. With his technical background, Clyde selected the best systems for Black Bird's operation. Clyde is fully involved in the construction, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of the maple products facility.

Bill Taylor, CPA, Manager of Accounting and Marketing
Bill has direct oversight of Black Bird's accounting and marketing related operations. Bill is responsible for Black Bird's financial records, payroll, banking and other accounting activities, as well as the development and implementation of our strategic marketing plans.

Bill's fascination with numbers began at an early age and during highschool found an affinity for business. He attended Algoma University and received an undergraduate degree in business administration. After university, Bill pursued a career as an accountant with BDO Canada and in 2015, he obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Bill enjoys the outdoors and in 2016 started making maple syrup with his dad as a father-son bonding activity. When the offer came to join Black Bird in 2018 Bill knew it was the right fit for him.
